Art That Takes You There
The Aerial View Collection is inspired by topical maps, exploring places of the heart and painted with colorful grids that hold many hues and refractions together. We use Golden crackle paste in this collection, referencing the Japanese art form called Kintsugi and mosaics, which brings broken pieces of vessels together to form a work of beauty. This collection is better experienced in person as we use reflective mediums and textures that change with the light, just like cathedral windows change, depending on where you are standing or the time of day.
There are four series of paintings in the Aerial View Collection:
Mosaic Reflections, Top of the World, East Meets West and Heartscapes.
We believe there are messages in these paintings, hidden just for you to discover. What do you see?
Mosaic Reflections
The Mosaic Reflection paintings are inspired by stained glass windows and mosaics found in places of worship. The dominant color in this series is cobalt blue symbolizing both the sky and sea. Some of our favorite artists including Marc Chagall, Claude Monet, and Vincent Van Gogh are known for their use of cobalt blue in their paintings. It is a color that compliments every other color.
Top of the World
The Top of the World series explores the mountain tops, hard to reach places and uncharted territories, celebrating their beauty and potential. These paintings celebrate the brave souls who take the road less traveled. The Flourescent opera rose reflects more light than conventional colors, and references the giant rose trees found in the Everest Region. The pearl symbolizes the quest for wisdom and valuable treasure.
East Meets West
These paintings celebrate the Silk Road, and East meeting West. We chose colors derived from both Western and Eastern influences, specifically designed to add luster and brilliance. Do you want to experience the culture of a people? Eat their food, listen to their stories, and spend time enjoying their creative expressions.
Heartscapes
This series of paintings is for the people and places we hold in our hearts. Celebrating the paths that bring us together, and the paths that take us different directions. With eternity in our hearts, we never truly say goodbye. Instead we receive new homes and our family grows.
